At 1610JST on New Years Day 2024 an earthquake with an intensity of 7.6 struck the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa, Japan. Ishikawa and Niigata prefectures were most heavily impacted, with over 12,000 buildings damaged or destroyed and approximately 30,000 people displaced in Ishikawa alone.
Apart from being beautiful this part of Japan is normally peaceful and it’s a great misfortune that they have to endure the effects of the earthquake. If you or any of your loved ones have been impacted you have our deepest sympathies.
Our friends at Game Center Betty in Nanao, Ishikawa prefecture had their lives turned upside down. We created a GoFundMe to support their recovery efforts, which can be found by clicking on the cat below
100% of the proceeds will be converted to yen and sent to Game Center Betty. Note- ‘Tips’ to GoFundMe are optional!
